At least it wasn't a dead Bartman, but this can't be good for the Cubs chances

Someone has taken the mythology of the Chicago Cubs way too far.
In a macabre play on the Cubs' so-called "Billy Goat Curse," a dead goat was found hanging on a rope from the statue of Harry Caray outside Wrigley Field early this morning.
Police told theChicago Sun-Times a similar incident occurred in 2007.
Police were alerted to the gruesome spectacle at about 2:40 a.m., and removed the animal and disposed of its remains. There was no other damage, and police didn't know how the animal was killed.
The goat was hanging on one of the statue's outstretched arms. In 2007, it was a butchered goat that was left on the statue.
The "curse" dates back to Oct. 6, 1945. Tavern owner Billy Sianis bought a box seat for his goat, Murphy, for Game 4 of the World Series at Wrigley Field, hoping to gain notice for his bar. After he was ordered to remove the goat he claimed to have placed a curse on the Cubs that would prevent them from ever hosting another World Series at Wrigley Field. The Cubs lost that Series in seven games and haven't been back since.
