Delisted?

How does a company get delisted from the NYSE? Shares under a dollar for a set amount of time?

If a company gets delisted, what becomes of the shares that belong to investors?

Just curious and I figured you gentlemen were more than qualified to answer...

Thanks in advance if you care to respond...

Delisted companies usually go to pink sheets, which are mostly the penny stocks, under a new symbol. For example, Washington Mutual (WM) became WAMUQ on the pinks. The "Q" at the end shows bankruptcy.
They can still be traded like anything else but a lot of brokers have margin restrictions due to the questionable value.
