I hope more companies follow their lead. Its sad that so many companies are doing this to save a buck. Nothing against India employees, but it kind of defeats the purpose of help lines when you cant understand what they are saying. Wasnt there a Seinfeld episode about this?

I don't know about the Seinfeld, but you can be sure that companies will follow the lead. It cost Dell millions. I for one would never (knowingly) buy a product with customer service in India. It's one thing to need help sovling your computer. It's another thing to have translation and computer lingo all in one conversation.

I`am glad to hear that. When i bought my Dell computer they gave me lifetime technical support and couple of years ago my computer crashed and i had a Hell of a time understanding the person on the other end. Finally they had to put someone else on and that wasn`t much better LOL.

I'm not a fan of them. Had a laptop, sent it back three times to get it fixed (bought on payment plan - no interest). Paid 1st $100 when I made initial purchase. They never could fix, so I wrote them a letter stating that I didn't want the computer back as they couldn't fix it. I wanted a new one or my money back. They sent me the same one back and tried to collect from me. I told them and the collection agency in writing essentially to shove it.

WILL NEVER BUY FROM DELL AGAIN.
