Dhani Tackles the Globe

Anyone watching this on the Travel Channel??

Only the 2nd show tonight. Former Giants/Eagles/Bengals linebacker Dhani Jones training for, and competing in, different sports around the world. Last week he won a Muay Thai boxing match. Tonight it's Swiss wrestlling in the Alps. Got some rugby in England coming up, I believe. He's not the smoothest host, but I'm sure he'll get better with a little time.

eaten by a lion?!?

Yeah, JD, I think it's pretty good. I find myself rooting for him to dominate these other sports and represent the American athlete to the rest of the world. Those rugby dudes practice and party hard. Out there hitting every day, and downing beers until the sun comes up every night. He definitely didn't embarrass himself playing rugby, but I cringed for him when he fell off that horse on the fox hunt.

I'm not saying he's the best we have to offer, but as long as he's the only one out there doing this, I'm rooting for him. I'd like to think that our pro athletes can at least hold their own around the world in other sports. I don't want him to constantly fail and look foolish. I want him to gain a little respect for our NFL pros.

Haven't really seen the bowtie. He's mostly a T-shirt guy on the show. Had a pretty slick suit on when the rugby squad went pub crawling.
