Diabetes takes my mother-in-law

My mother-in-law died today at 6:00am to diabetes. She has been fighting this battle for over 5 years and today she joined her mother and father in a lot better place then she has been for the last 2 years. She came home from the hospital on Monday and died 2 days later at home in her bed. Once she had no chance the hospital sent her home with Hospice and they took over. Morphin kept her comfortable but suffering was huge the last year of her life. We all prayed last night that she would pass as none of us could watch the pain in her face any longer. After watching her fight this battle it makes me take a long look at how a human is worse off then say a dog. At least animals get to get a shot and go to sleep. If I never see someone suffer again it would be to soon. For those of you suffering from Diabetes I wish you nothing but the best. Its a nasty problem and a cure needs to be found. The doctors that have worked with my mother told us point blank that they are not looking hard enough for a cure because the drug companies make to much money on treating the problem. We spent the last week with her watching her go thru the stages of dieing. Its not a very good thing to do but I our family is thankful she is with God and at peace. After a very long battle she finally took her last breath this morning. My wife was at her bed side and when she called me I could hear how sad yet happy that her suffering was over. My mother was 71 which is a good life but not a good way to end a life. She will be missed my our entire family. I took my son to her bed side on Saturday and I asked her if she could see him. She said and yes and just cried. My father-in-law could surely use some prayers as he has been at her side taking care of her since this started. He looks lost and will be leaving for Spain as soon as the funeral is over. Seems like I have been coming in here with bad news the last few times I have been in here and why but sharing with all of you does help with the pain. It was so nice to see her at peace this morning laying in her bed. Now we are making funeral plans and that will be the final chapter to a lady that loved so many. To see her look at my son for the last time was amazing. She knew and did not want to stop touching his face. God bless all of you living with this terrible illness. Look forward to our family all being at peace soon. Please add my family to your prayer lists especially my father in law. A man among men...

thoughts and prayers bro, my mom and dad both have diabetes and my mom can't stop with the sugar and needs the needle every day. and yes they'll never cure it, heck they'll never cure anything only treat it's symptoms their's no money in the cure. anyways they already have something that you inject into i think it's the pancres and it builds insulin by itself, it was on the news but they won't bring it out probably never. urhhh again prayers to you and your family.
