Did anyone read Steven Nover's article on Rx about the Cardinals playing on Saturday night. I think the guys is crazy. What do you think?

I moved this post in the offshore forum. It's a good post and a good article. I may catch some heat, but I agree with what he said. I think they would of played if it wasn't D Kyle or some other big name pitcher.

How can you say they should of played this game? It has nothing to do with who died. It showed class and respect to the Kyle family and all of baseball.

I disagree. You put your cap on and do your job. The fans who were at the park deserved to see the game. Yes, it's a sad story, but kids and families came to the game and deserved to see a game.

The right decision was made. It's not like this happens everyday. They should not of played. Nover obviously wrights stuff like this to get reaction and that is what he got.

You are right. Reaction is what the goal is. If Nover would of said, Porr Cardinals and that was really nice to cancel the game, he would of received no comments. Not what a journalist is looking for. GR

I have nothing to do with Rx. I only agree with the author's opinion. No one is bashing you. One thing you will find here at Cappers Mall is everyone is entitled to their opinion. I certainly understand it's a tough call. But that is what makes this country so great. Everyone can speak their opinion. That goes for you also. Speak your mind that is what the forum is for!

Did you happen to see Kile's kid throwing out the first pitch yesterday? And the shots of his wife watching?

I can see how the emotions of all that can affect the players/teammates. I don't believe they should have played the game. It would have been too difficult for everyone involved. Sure they are professionals...but this is an entertainment business. I don't find this situation entertaining.
