Digital Camera

Thinking about buying myself one of these, not really sure why, but I am.

What are some solid brands that aren't an arm/leg. Thinking something around $250 but to be honest I haven't looked into them at all and I really know nothing about them.

Just want one to take pictures and be able to put them online or get them developed whenever I want, don't need anything special.

Any of you guys own one and can give me a recommendation/price? Like I said, would like to keep it under $250 or so, thanks guys.

I got a 6MP Sony from Sams club last year for like 199. Its pretty f*cking good man, you really can't go wrong with a Sony. It's pretty much point and click.

I went to Future Shop a year and a half ago and told the salesperson I want to spend $300 max on a digital cam...what's the best I can get for that price? (incl memory card, batteries and batt charger, and taxes). He pointed at one. I then told him I wanted something more compact (as close to the size of my Razor mobile phone) to just slip in any of my pockets with ease. The next one he pointed at was a FujiFilm Fine Pix Z (3x Fufinon Optical Zoom Lens). I was even able to buy a 500 pic memory card and a carry pouch for less than $300. Comes in a complete kit. It's about twice the thickness of my cell. Perfect for my needs. I can delete any pics, zoom, even video with it. I've yet to download the software for pc viewing which is what u seem to want and share pics. I'm sure it's easy to do. I watch mine directly on my big screen TV. I bought the black one:

i doubt that there are digi cams sold without usb wire... also most pc's and mobile computers have card readers nowadays... shouldn't be your primary concern.

I don't think u will find anyone say that they're dissatisfied with their digital camera. Go to i.e. Future Shop and fiddle around the ones that fit your budget. No matter, the one u like the feel and the look will fill your needs...just like a pretty lil' lady.
