Do people in your city hate Wal-Mart?

There is a proposed Wal-Mart superstore to go up near my neighborhood, it has people in an uprage! I could really give a shit as it would be a nice conveneince for me....does this happen in your cities as well? Just wondering if people are as strongly opposed to Wal-Mart in your areas?

some hippies are upset. We have a city nearby where I live called Ithaca. They are really into the locally owned stores. You know family owned. they opposed Wal-Mart but had to give in eventually. I can understand where they are coming from. It does kill the mom and pop stores.

Yeah Mom and Pops aren't around unless they can diferentiate themselves from the big box store. There are a lot of organic type Mom and Pops but that is about it.

What they really read is a spanish speaking checkout at Wal-Mart. I swear half the people in line are speaking spanish.

WalMart Scam Alert !

Don't how many of you shop at Wal-Mart, but this may be useful.

I am posting this to you to warn you of something that happened to me,
as I have become a victim of a clever scam while out shopping. This
happened to me at Wal-Mart and it could happen to you.

Here's how the scam works:

Two seriously good looking 18 year old girls come over to your car as
you are packing your shopping in the trunk. They both start wiping your
windshield with a rag and Windex, with their breasts almost falling out
of their skimpy T-shirts. It is impossible not to look. When you thank
them and offer them a tip, they say 'No' and instead ask you for a ride
to another Wal-Mart. You agree and they get in the back seat. On the
way, they start having sex with each other. Then one of them climbs over
into the front seat and performs oral sex on you, while the other one
steals your wallet.

I had my wallet stolen last Tuesday, Wednesday, twice on Thursday, again
on Saturday, also yesterday and it will probably happen again tonight.

Please be careful out there!
