What will happen to him if guilty? jail time?

We all know Barry is guilty, but unless Anderson is willing to testify it will be difficult to convict him. Having already spent a year in jail, I don't see Anderson changing his tune now.

Precisely. The government will throw alot of circumstantial evidence out there, but there will be very little in terms of direct evidence. This prosecution is a colossal waste of money. As will be Clemens' prosecution. The government may get convictions here, but so what. But in the mean-time, schools across the country are cutting programs and teachers because of lack of funding. Where the hell are our priorities ????

You and I have exchanged posts on this one before. This trial and the Clemens trial continue to piss me off. We have so many other pressing issues where tax dollars are better spent. While I agree people can't go around lying to Congress, but shit cut your losses on lengthy and costly trials that aren't for the greater good. Anderson isn't ever going to testify..........at this point, I'd like to know exactly how much Bonds paid to get Anderson to keep quiet.

you're right jd. They continually refer to Anderson as Bonds' "childhood friend." But how much is it worth to go to jail for someone else ???

Not sure why Congress is wasting its time on steroids in athletics. They can't balance a budget or address any of the other 86,432,481 more pressing issues then performance enhancement drugs, the whole thing is a waste of time and money. Congress just loves facetime and soundbites.
