Question Do You Have A Monthly Budget ?

1) Yes
2) No
3) Mrs takes Care of it
4) Doing ok/well without one

Kramers answer

4 -

Know take home pay , mortgage pay, taxes, phone, hydro, etc

But "miscellaneous "

How do you calculate a monthly value for it?

( Beer , smokes , food ,tokes, drycleaning,

We have a tight budget. Every penny in and every penny out is on an excel spreadsheet. And I have no clue how much money is in my bank account 401k or investments. I let my wife handle that. For Misc. I have to bring home a receipt of everything that spend and she does the same.

Wow. That is pretty tight, but good for doing it.

That's some serious shit Nick.

My sister's old boss used to keep every receipt to see how much he spent throughout the year and it was insane.

I actually don't mind it once you get in a rhythm. I just put my receipts on the desk and the wife takes care of it. It really only takes her an hour a week to go through them. And we sit down and look at it every 3 or 4 months to see how we are doing. It really helps watch what you spend. Also,(don't want to piss anyone off so please don't take this the wrong way I am not saying there is nothing wrong with it but...) my wife is Jewish, if you couldn't have guessed.

HAHA, i actually play with a window. And it is pretty high for what I wager so there is really not that many transactions a year. We have had 5 in the 2 years I have been with him.

And all of my gambling is with the same person for the most part so all in the same budget.

Sister is totally opposite from her. The little sister doesn't even know what a budget is. She is a waitress and every penny she makes, she blows that night going to the bar after her shift.
