Question Do you know your team when it comes to betting on sports?

When it comes to betting, do you feel confident betting on or against your team?

Do you feel like you can look at it objectively?

Do you feel like you have an advantage being local, getting certain information that others might now or do you feel like the "locals" can slant your view?

Do you trust others when they play their own team? Or are they just a homer if they pick their team? Do you put more stock in to it if someone going against your own team?

Applies to any sport, all sports. Discuss!

I feel confident betting on or against my team.

Yes, I can look at it objectively.

I think locals can slant your view.

As far as trusting others when they play there own team.
It depends on who the person is.

As far as being a homer. There is nothing wrong with
playing your own team. Now if that person playing
there own team cannot accept the fact that your team
lost and they make every excuse in the book why they
should have won. Then you are a homer and I stay
away from anything they pick or say because you are
a homer.

If someone is going against my own team it don`t bother
me because there probably right. lol

When I first started betting I was abit of a homer. That lasted a few months, until I looked at things more objectively. Now 17 years later, the teams I supported as a kid plays zero of a part in terms of my betting. Betting wise look at every team the same.
Had a dream run a few years back, on a couple of rugby teams here who I respect and close to my heart...... Bookmakers badly underated them. Now years later those two teams have much respect in betting circles, which is a shame, but there are and always will, be others.

if i touch a steeler game i bet on them unless it's a year where they're way down and have no playoff shot then i'll bet against them........tough team to bet though since they can't wait to get a lead and shut down the offense to just run the clock out

only trust people who bet against their team more than they bet on them

only way to know that their view isn't biased

I have bet against the eagles when they were big favorites over the years.
I won't bet against them when attending a game,if I like the visitor. I pass on it.
