Question Do you Text and Drive?

Big news here because of another big accident here with kids who were texting when they were driving.

I hear laws are coming out all over and this is a problem in many places but it's not illegal in most places

So do you text and drive?

I rarely text in general, I hate it. I would rather just take a phonecall.

Once in awhile I will respond to someones text, sometimes while driving but I always keep it brief and type very slowly.

I agree with this. While I know its not safe, I always text with one hand and watch the road the whole time

It’s obvious we have a nightmare on our hands and the future. Let’s all make a point and toss our blackberries and other text devices out the window at 3:00 Sunday. We can make a stand together

Most of the time I drive and text.

A problem I have is some state's have banned handhelds while driving, yet will let you use an earpiece. To me it's the conversation, not the handheld. If you are arguing with someone it won't matter if it's in your ear or hand.

I have a treo, so the keys are laid out nice and easy, so its way too tempting and I do it all the time while driving. I agree its very dangerous, but I admit I do it all the time

we would all have to make an effort to try to cut down on it.
