Does anyone collect Hot Wheels cars?

If so, what is the most reliable price guide for Hot Wheels?

My wifes uncle passed away he had a large collection. Her family asked if I wanted it and said sure. There must be over 1000 cars in the collection still in the boxes

you may have stumbled into some cash there bosox, esp if they're all in original packaging

get your google on I guess, found a few price guides.. but its not so much a matter of what they're worth, but rather what someones willing to pay

Best price guide seriously for collectibles is stalking stuff on ebay and see what its going for, not 100 percent accurate but that is what the market is at, I would use that as a starting point

This is 100% spot-on. For baseball cards, hot wheels, comic books, memorabilia stuff ebay is basically the price guide nowadays cuz thats what people are actually willing to pay, not the sometimes ridiculous prices beckett has.

If you have the right stuff like another guy said you may have stumbled into a little cash, not like a million dollars or anything but easily could be a couple thousand

and whatever you do, DO NOT go into a memorabilia store or a convention and try to sell them to a dealer, they will rape you blind, and its really not even scummy, thats just their business and how they make $ but they will seriously screw you over if you dont know the items, which you dont.

Search ebay "completed listings" for some of the items you have and hopefully you can get a descent guage on what youve got, even list some of it on here if you want, one of us will check it out for ya

Look for "varieties" or "chase items" when pricing. Big diff.
