I know in baseball it does sometimes down the road but using The Wolves as an example (sorry Gerk). Minnesota was a playoff team every year with Garnett. For many years it was first round and out and people said they could never win with Garnett so they unload him and now look at them. They probably won't be relevant again, all because they shipped Garnett because playoffs wasn't good enough?

Herschel Wallker trade made Dallas a Super Bowl champion, that worked out well, but for the most part they don't
Wolves made the playoffs every year with Garnett, but were never going to win a championship with him. Had no problem with the trade, but managements incompetence has made it look alot worse.
