Does free agency piss you off as a fan?

With the changes free agency has caused over the years along with salary caps in most leagues, are you pissed off because your favorite player left for another team? I have been seeing posts like screw this player and f' that guy they didn't care about me or the team, they just did it for the money.

Is there really a problem with that? Is the sport they play their profession? With the window of opportunity to play pro ball only open for a short period of time, wouldn't it be wise of them to ascertain as much money as possible before they don't have the opportunity?

Also, isn't the fan demanding a player take less to remain with their favorite team being just as greedy? When a business attempts to make you take a pay cut to keep your job, aren't you looking in to finding another job as soon as possible?

I understand that the goal of the professional sports is to win a championship as far as the franchise or individual player is concerned but how much value does a championship really have?

That being said I can understand top end players taking less money to allow for a team to acquire another good player. Though these players probably have made enough or are set to make enough that the money they leave on the table isn't that significant.

Anyone have any thoughts on this matter?

i see the pts against it but i guess i'm just used to it by now and fortunately the steelers haven't really gotten rid of a ton of guys that i was a huge fan of anyway

favre is the first guy i think of here though, gb lets him go and you have people jumping to a hated rival because he went to the vikings......then you have viking fans who hated the guy forever and now worship him

my bigger issue is with the fans i think, i can't stand tom brady but would like to see him come here........but i can guarantee i still wouldn't be running out to buy the guy's jersey after hating him for all these years

That sounds like the Pirates cman lol. I look at sports anymore as entertainment period. I want my team to win but dont get overly invested in them anymore. I would like to see my team have the best players possible but understand its a business. As long as they dont throw a third rate team out on the field and charge first rate prices I will watch.
