Exclamation Dog fighting Illegal? huh I don't get it.....
The well documented case of Michael Vick brought this topic to the surface. Yet events such as professional boxing, kick boxing, UFC etc., continue to entertain the public.

If it's illegal for animals to fight and kill each other shouldn't it also be illegal for our fellow human beings to fight and kill each other. Afterall, isn't a human life more valuable than a dogs? Charges were levied against Vick, should charges be levied against promoters and owners when atheletes dies in the ring or suffer severe injuries. Isn't it the same thing? And remember, many professional boxers have been killed in the ring and suffered severe injuries (Muhammad Ali for example) just like these dogs have.

From my ownerships of dogs I know as well as anyone
its in most dogs nature to fight to a greater extent than most humans. Now don't get me wrong, I AM NOT supporting Vicks actions I am only asking if there is a double standard here.

Why is it Illegal? why not allow it under certain provisions and conditions and not force it underground. You either allow all forms of humans/creatures fighting or ban them all, whats with the double standards........

Well for one, we don't put a heavy weight or UFC fighter down after he doesn't perform well.

Another reason is humans can speak and decide for themselves

Some dog breds are great at running, they entertain us humans at the track.

Some dog breds are great at fighting, they should be able to entertain us in the ring.

I'm only talking a very selective bred of dogs here.....as for all other breds life goes on as per normal.

cock fighting is national sport of philippines...some places such activity is allowed and embraced...but says a lot about the country...we are talking about a place where one can get a hooker for under 20 bucks and that is for 24 hrs
