Dont Drink and Drive Ad

Great Aussie Ad Campaign!

This is perhaps one of the most intense commercials that I've ever seen and damn well made.

I think that Australia should be complimented on having the guts to "tell it like it is" and get this campaign out to all of its licensed drivers and to air it on TV ... it is very moving and very realistic … it has a very strong impact.

Pass it along to all of your friends.

WOW, I was going to make a joke, then I watched the video and almost ended up in tears. That should be mandatory in all schools.

wouldn't matter what you showed and when. it would have very little impact.

the fact is majority of people that get behind the wheel feel they are fine to drive. only resolution is make it so if you have 1 drink you will be over the limit.

This was a great video. It hit close to home. It will make you think twice before having too much to drink and then drive home.

Lost my best friend (and wife's brother) about 8 years ago in a car accident. He was the guy drinking leaving my house. That is something that changes your perspective forever.

Believe me when I say this. I have 2 DWI`S in my lifetime. I`m just lucky that I did not hurt or kill someone on all the other times I drove drunk. Here sometime ago hoosiercatdaddy and I had some drinks. I drove home the first time and it`s a wonder I didn`t get my 3rd DWI which would have been a felony (Stupid on my part). The second time hoosiercatdaddy and I met. I had my wife drop me off at the bar we met at and when the partying was done I called a taxi. What I`m saying is. Don`t drink and drive it`s not worth it. $20.00 or $30.00 bucks for a taxi is a hell of a lot cheaper that a DWI or hurting or killing someone!

Ironic. This was in today's local paper.

CHEYENNE — Alcohol played a role in 41 percent of the deaths on Wyoming's roads last year.

There were 116 fatal crashes in the state in 2009 and alcohol was a factor in 55 of those deaths.

The five-year average for the percentage of traffic deaths involving alcohol is 38.

Wyoming's highway safety coordinator, Dee West Peterson, tells the Wyoming Tribune Eagle that the state isn't winning the battle against drunken driving. She said the solution involves education, enforcement and prosecution.

Last year, the Legislature failed to pass measures that would have made refusing to take blood-alcohol tests a crime and increased drunken driving penalties.

Laramie is moving toward passing its own tougher penalties for drunken drivers.
