I think it's inherent - as objective as you (or I) try to be... I miss a lot of West Coast games...

Also, with exception of Rjb ... East Coasters are more pushy...

Sorry Rjb... but it's true...

yes but cant blame anyone for it....

more writers on the east, and midwest, more importantly more people

more tradition etc

a team, player, etc can be huge on the east coast/midwest without any fans out west

same cant be said for a west coast team/player without east coast and midwest fans

to be "relevant"

I include the midwest with the east...chicagoland, and surrounding areas command huge TV #s

its why the Big Ten is huge

I think there is for certain things like the Heisman Trophy

I really believe players who play games on the West Coast for the most part suffer because of the lack of coverage they receive and the voters probably for the most part don't have the same access.

When you live even in the Midwest, you don't even have completed gamescores in the Sunday paper because games aren't finished when the papers goes to press

I think so. East coast is what runs this country

I think that Rome and Gerk make excellent points on East Coast. Most people go to bed before they can watch teams play and that they tend to like teams and players we can watch.

In college football there is such a thing as the South Coast bias......which is why teams like Texas can play in an inferior conference with an awful non-conf schedule and still be in the Top 3.......

nobody on the east stays up to watch west games and only when a big market like LA has a good team do they get coverage. The Chargers could be 12-0 right now and they would get a 30 second sportscenter spot
