Ebay question

I was looking for 2 George Strait Tickets on Ebay last night. I found front row for $360....I clicked purchase and when it asked about payment, It showed the last four of my debit card that I had used in the past to purchase off of Ebay. As I was clicking "yes", I looked down and noticed that it wasnt the right one...but it was to late.....That was the National City card, but they sent me a different one when PNC bought them out. So I already purchased the ticket, right? or Wrong?.....Heres the catch.....I then noticed that I purchased (1) ONE ticket for that price.....I would never buy one ticket for a concert......I sent the seller a letter immediately telling him I sent the wrong credit card info. Telling him I would send him the right info if that one didnt go thru....That is when I noticed that I had purchased the one ticket,,I then sent him back another message asking if I can get refunded the money or can I get the two for that price...He said that I purchased one, and that I can purchase another one that is right buy that one.......Question is.....Am I responsible, legally, for that ticket...If I am, then Im gonna pay $750 for two tickets...HELP

i think ebay is full of nonpayers and crap.....buyer can file some sort of nonpayment form with ebay, but wouldn't imagine that would be a legal issue

Notify ebay with the details, dont rely on the seller.

Your transaction may not show in your account for 24-48 hours, depends on your account. Some of my transactions take alittle longer to hit the actual account.

If you purchased with a card which is no longer active, then I am not sure what account you would be watching to see if a transaction was made. If you have a backup up funding source for your paypal/ebay account, example your checking account, paypal/ebay will go to that account if the card used doesnt work.

If you take action within 24 hours, you may be able to cancel the transaction altogether (quickest way to do that may be a call to paypal or the bank holding the card).

I've been on ebay for 10 years . If they seller isnt a prick he can just cancel the auction and get his fees back . If he is a prick and doesnt want to cancel the order because he wants you to pay just ignore him, you'll get a nonpaying bidder strike but thats all. I think it takes 3 or more nonpaying bidder strikes in a short amount of time before your banned

As for the card if its going to go through so you should be ok there. Live and learn

If they issued the new card to replace the other one, I would think they would have notified you about closing the old card. That is something I would look into either way as you dont want to have an old card if you arent using it. Some banks are charging fees for cards if they are being used for minimum $ amount of transactions.

If you dont have an alternate funding source for you on ebay, then the nonpayment process will indeed start once the original payment doesnt clear. That process could take 7 days to start. If the buyer isnt responding to your contacts, I would simply tell ebay you made an incorrect purchase and would like to cancel. Best if done in the 1st 24 hours.

The non payment process is simple ,they keep sending you emails tell you to pay and you ignore them .

After 7 days he can open a non paying bidder dispute and they will start emailing you . After 7 days of you ignoring them the case is closed and he gets his fees returned and you get a non paying bidder strike

I read credit reports everyday, but you never know who might send it in as a bill not paid....I had never read it on a cc report, but I promise you that I didnt want to be the first.
