I disapprove, the fence relies on pain as a deterrent. Which means it's designed to hurt the dog and that's a wrong way of training and not cool.

Know plenty of people that use these and they are very effective. The dogs I have seen it work with realize where the boundary is quickly and very rarely (if ever) get shocked.
We used it for our dobermanns and never had an issue of them busting the barrier. Obviously the downside is you can't keep other dogs out of your yard. Innotek is the brand we have used most. There customer service is top notch as well. |

Had a neighbor one time that had an electric fence. Don`t know what brand, but after a bit the dogs new when to stop.
