Kramer you have to know where the nerds are, the good ones...

Call their 1-800 line if you don't know what to look for, Radio Shack has the very best nerds when it comes to A/V connectivity, if there's a store nearby you're even more golden

CD player into amp into speakers

connect from amp output to speaker inputs
connect dual CD player into amp

or fire up another one and think you did it, either way it'll sound good

I called a bud who's a part time musician and he says here's your problem'

You're using an old school amp that uses old
speaker wire jacks , but your speakers
have no wire jacks (1/4 " jacks)

thus you have a couple choices -
you can try to solder old the speaker wires to the rca cables
(old school)

Or find a 1/4 inch jack that takes old speaker wires (hard to find)

or just dump the old amp and buy a pre amp
that takes the rca jacks as speaker hook ups

looks like opt 3

I took an option # 4 :

Bought a speaker cable adaptor ,dual banana
Male to Female with a connector for 1/4 " speaker cables .

Bought 2 sets of 50 ft speaker cables with 1/4 inch jack on each ends
cut off the square adaptor ,
spliced the wires into the old amp

works fine

here's what the adaptor looks like
