Elton John will be playing the Bob Carpenter Center on March 10 in a show presented by Live Nation.

In what might be the weirdest show since Bob Dylan played Kahunaville, Sir Elton will rock out at the University of Delaware's basketball arena in Newark.

Tickets go on sale Friday through Ticketmaster and the University of Delaware box offices.

An exact time for the ticket sale Friday morning has not been announced and the $97 ticket price on Ticketmaster.com could change. And here's a hint, it's probably not going down. (I guess there won't be many college kids in the Bob that night.)

We will post the on sale time and the cost as soon as the information comes in.

that is a pretty big name for the small state of delaware...why doesn't he wait til the summer and perform in southern delaware? the guy probably could sell out shows for a week straight during the summer down there

rehoboth convention center for like a 2 week stint...could charge like 300 a pop for a ticket...i forget who it was a while back and they charged ut the azz for performing at the cc...and wasn't as big as elton john

i can imagine..sounds like 2 times a year when nascar comes to town rehoboth becomes inundated with that kind of trash...really odd for sure...multi millionaires who have homes in the area including several high profile celebs, and those morons infiiltrate the area for a weekend of white trash shenanegans
