Since we are in a gambling forum. This is a true story.....


A UK Bookmaker offers bets on which day the world will end, usually around 7 morons per week wager on it at outrageous odds.

I read that in a newspaper here and had it confirmed at another source.
It was awhile ago and I forget which book.

The only possible thing I can think of why these people would be doing it :

If there is a after life that involves money there could be some rich morons hehe

exactly why would u bet on when the world will end if you happen to be right on that issue how in the world are u gonna use the money and the best question will u be able to use the money when your dead...... i'll love to be the book and take those props anyday.. ill give 100,000: 1 odds on that..

Knowing the bookmaking side of sportsbetting well, I know this :


Often when u sent big odds on something, you are always going to have a some people betting on it. For example for this years Stanley Cup a good way into the season Florida were 500-1 with only a mathmatical chance of making the playoffs and by a guy I spoke to there were a few bets coming in.

What about the guy who took massive odds on that UK Soccer goalkeeper scoring from inside his own half during the entire season. It happened and the media hyped it up as the punter got a massive payout. For every one winner there are a hundred thousand + failures lol

I'm not worried about it, I don't think the Judgement Day is anytime soon. Even when that happens, I believe from what I have read in the Bible that the good people live in peace on Earth.

As far as the "caves", I doubt that we have caves, but we do have some underground areas for the President and high ranking gov't officials in case of a nuclear war.
