Angry Every year!

Every year I get stung at least once by a wasp or yellow jacket! This is getting old.Usually it is in mid summer but this year came early.I was taking the pool cover off and bam right in the back of the hand.I have never had an allergic reaction. It hurts like hell still.I have heard that if you get so many after time you will become allergic.I hope not the hot season is still young and I will prob get another one this year.

Cut an onion in half and put it on the sting... make sure you cut it so the juice comes out... and then leave it on for like 15 mins at a time... it will take the puss part out and reduce the swelling and itching...
Best remedy for a quick heal...
I hate bees...

Thanks.I have never tried that.I usually just put a baking soda paste on them. This one has been about an hour and it still hurts like hell. This was a wasp.He paid the price though.

You know you should never put baking soda on stings or burns... just like how some people say you should put butter on a burn...
baking soda and butter actually burns more (kinda like fire to fire)

Witch Hazel that can be found near rubbing alcohol in your local pharmacy is good too... that is if you don't want to smell like onion... LOL

Same thing happen to me last week pwherr. I was changing a security light on my house and there was a small wasp nest with two of those little bastoids right behind it. Did not see them until it was to late and got stung on the upper right hand. It swelled up all the way to the middle of my right arm. It is now going down. What i took for it is benadryl. Not sure if you get stung enough you become allergic but a wasp/yellow jacket sting is nothing to fool around with. Not fun!

hmm i found the more i got stung the more i built an immune system. I would figure that if you have never gotten stung by a wasp or a bee the chances of an allergic reaction is much greater to that of someone who's had a few stings here and there.

I had a yellow jacket last year and I will take a wasp over that any day.Them bastards will chase you down and it hurts 10 times as bad.I had just read somewhere that the more times the more likely to react.

Wasps don't leave a stinger usually. They just slam into you. It's very strange. It don't leave a round hole it kinda tears the skin.

Feel lucky. Every year I get bit by at least 10 wasp's. Last year I was walking down a fence line and I turned to walk thru a gate and hit the side of the fence and they had a nest there. I got stung 5 times in the face and back of my neck. They would fly and hit me from ever angle they could. Last time I have walked by a fence and not looked for nests. I carry a can of wasp spray with me this time of year. My goal is to kill as many as I can as pay back. Pay backs are a bitch for the wasps in California.
