Explain Short selling please

short selling is selling a stock you don't own, i.e you borrow it. Eventually you'll have have to give it back, so you are hoping that the stock price goes down so you can buy it for less when you have to pay it back. It is one way to make money in a declining market.

Same as Sesh said, here is a little more indept article. What I recommend is to go to www.google.com and you will get all your info. For example, just go to google and type, WHAT IS SHORT SELLING A STOCK, and you will get tons of info and articles. You will find all your answers on the web my friend, its all out there.
