F*ck Soccer

That's right, I said it.
Soccer sucks. Everyone knows soccer sucks, quit pretending you like it cause your kids play it. The fights in the stands are the only reason it is interesting. Why can't you touch the ball with your hands?? - that's friggin stupid!! - goes against human nature: balls are meant to be touched .

The only reason it is popular worldwide is because most of the world is impoverished, and soccer is the only sport 3rd world countries can afford to play.

Lotta people are f*cked in the head. It takes a few bucks to get a rink, a Zamboni, and decent equipment - what do you need for soccer, a lawnmower and some PVC?\

lol was just going to say the same thing. the exact same thing u said about soccer applies to hockey...except you dont even play with a ball, its a puck. soccer is more popular because it can be played anywhere in any environment unlike hockey which has to be played on frozen water

if by elite u mean spending a lot of money to play a sport that is irrelevant in the US, then you would be right. Also, polo is along those same lines

I'm not understanding the "irrelevant" statement; This thread is not about hockey nor polo (let alone water polo - poor horses), it's about soccer. Please stay on topic.

u said hockey was an elite sport...my point was ur basing it on how much money is spent to play it...now how relevant it is to US popular culture

Hockey is elite because of its requirements to play it properly, regardless of its popularity in the United States. Again, not the topic of the thread I started.

soccer is popular because it can be played anywhere in the world and it can be played with smaller numbers of people. it is also very popular with youth worldwide, including the US. Some regions may play it because they cant afford to play other sports...but a majority of them love to play it. in europe it is a huge sport, and not because they cant afford to play anything else

While I don't agree with everything u say, I do agree on this-soccer would be of all the sports one of my least favourite to watch. Oh and u forgot one thing : Soccer is a sport played by many whimps and faggots.
