Talking Fake Lotto Scratch-offs - great story

I am sure everyone in here has either gotten one or fooled a friend with one.

Last night we pulled one off and it was the best ever.

My wife's cousin turned 30 yesterday and there was a big surprise party. Well to make a long story short - we gave her one and she thought she won 10K. Needless to say she was unbelievably happy, even crying she was so happy. She went on and on about how she never wins anything and her luck must be changing now that she is 30.

Usually we tell them right away but this one was to easy. She wanted to go to the store immediately to cash this ticket. Most of the lotto stores here won't cash a 10k ticket. You have to go to a special lotto store but we have one that will.

Anyway we all drove down to the store and we watched her go in and then the gentleman at the counter broke the bad news to her. I was about pissing in my pants. I mean the tears, the heartbreak - but it was soooo funny. If you knew this person and knew how gullible she is you would laugh.

We think we runined her birthday - she cussed all of us out and we all went home instead of continuing what was supposed to be a fun night.

It was worth it.

Jack, never knew you had that cruelness in you. That trick is like losing a 10 team parlay on the last team by a hook.

Not cruel - just a sick sense of humor at times

I'll but her a real ticket when she calms down and I am sure she'll win

OUCH!!!

A better/happier ending would have been:

Arrange with the store clerk ahead of time that your group will be coming in to cash a fake lottery ticket.

The clerk would break the bad news to her.

And then as a consolation prize.....the clerk hands her a $100 cheque (from someone in the group)
