Fans rushing the court.

Is there any way to prevent this at college games? I'm surprised there hasnt been a major incident between opposing players and fans yet. Just seems like its chaos when that happens and would hate to see a few innocent people get seriously injured.

It is only a matter of time before something happens and tragically it will result in someone getting hurt or worse (ie.. one crazy person with a knife)! We will see the day when any student running on the floor after a game will be thrown out of that school! It will be hard to enforce at first but after a few students are thrown out the rush factor will thin out! If not a student mandatory 30 day jail sentence should do the trick! Sad to say this is a time honored tradition that will not be happening in 5 years IMO!

what about the FSU fans that rushed for them last night. Could have hurt the team if they were up by 2.

Yea that was the game I was watching. Its sad when your team has to go to the lockerroom before the game's over granted there was only like 1.5 secs left. I think the NCAA should look into it and try to fix this problem or we will see something tragic in the days to come.

yeah it wasn't the whole team just the ones that coach K cared about. Didn't want his guys that are good getting hurt. I am biased on this part because I hate Duke so i will leave after this lol

Yea I noticed that. I was like what are those dudes standing on the court thinking? "Its ok for us to get killed but lets save these other guys?"

We have sucked in basketball for a long time. Beating a top ten opponent is huge for us (rival or not). Also, that win could have paved the way to a NCAA tourney birth. You can't fault us for being overly excited.

And as far as that goes, the FSU deal is only one of many.

I dont see fans rushing the court as that much of a problem, in the whole scope of things
