I like to eat a light sandwich for breakfast. Eating a big breakfast would make me just wanna go back to sleep and not move.

I always make breakfast on the weekends. One of my favorite times of the week. Especially now when we can eat on the patio in the garden. A few of my favorites; they abuse the heart and waist, but are good for the soul:

Loaded omelette: Ham, sausage, bacon, onion, green pepper, diced tomato, Monteray Jack, and white cheddar. Served with skin-on potato chunks sauteed in butter, and a toasted English muffin. A dollop of sour cream on the omelette, if you so desire.

Slices of Canadian bacon lined in a well-buttered ramekin or jumbo muffin cup. Crack an egg into each cup and bake. I usually make a fresh fruit combo with this one. The melons are just about ripe in the garden. Nothing, I mean nothing, beats a canteloupe out of the garden.

When I am feeling ambitious, I'll make what I like to call The Breakfast Loaf. It is a loaf of your favorite bread(I use cinnamon-raisin), heavy cream, milk, eggs(seasoned with salt and pepper), melted butter. It has to set and soak in the fridge overnight. Take it out in the morning and bake. Sometimes, I add blueberries. Enjoy it with your favorite syrup.

My favorite is french toast made with sourdough bread. Dust it with powdered sugar and garnish with a mixture of fresh berries. Also, fresh-squeezed OJ. Make this for you woman in a breakfast-in-bed manner, and forget about doing ANYTHING the rest of the day

During the week I eat oatmeal with fruit. On Sundays, bacon or sausage, scrambled eggs, toast, fried potato's.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It sets your body up for the rest of the day.

Big fan of french toast, but i do love eggs runny and hashbrowns, especially that tasty cheesy hashbrown caserol at Crackel Barrel
