these types of beats rarely happen as much as they do on PP. One of the worst poker sites you can play at. Horrible. My favorite is when they deal 2 players aces, get them to both move all in and take the rake so you lose money

Dunno man..bad beats happen everywhere. Other night was playing with my brothers for nickels and dimes for fun and I swear I had the most unbelievable bad beats in one night. Lucky thing it was for fun or I wouldve been pissed.

A couple of possibilities:

1. The guys you play with in live games are better than the average party poker player. Bad players give you bad beats (e.g. they hang around waiting for their miracle card when they don't have the right odds, and sometimes they get their card). When you get a bad beat, that usually means you played correctly and the other guy didn't, which happens much more often when the other guy doesn't know what he's doing.

2. There's no way you play as fast in a live game as you do online, so even if the unlucky cards come up in the same proportion live as online, it doesn't feel that way because you play a lot more hands an hour online. For example, say a bad beat comes once every fifty hands, you're going to play fifty hands a lot faster online, so you'll have a higher quantity of bad beats.

I will also tell you this. People will still make or play stupid calls in live games but they are more wililng to do it behind a computer. When you do a stupid call in live game everyone is there to smirk at you and you will feel like an idiot therefore i think they are less to make those stupid calls. Online people can play crazy and just log off and noone will ever know its you. Again I agree it seems like these online sites pop up some crazy cards but I"ve had my share playing live with my brothers and friends to know it happens in live games too.

party poker is by far the WORST poker site ever made... you're better off playing random hands with your eyes closed

I would often wonder if the shuffle is really a random shuffle on Party Poker. One common senario that I saw often is someone being dealt pocket kings or queens, only to get beat by someone else who got dealt pocket aces. Aren't they located somewhere in India, where theres probably not much enforcement?
