That's a good question, sir. That whole spread thing can be very difficult to understand. It usually takes people a few weeks to figure it out and become comfortable betting with it. Let's say the Bills are playing the Patriots and the line is Patriots (-3˝) at Bills. The 3˝ represents the number of points the Patriots are getting.
