FTA (viewsat) satellite receivers work again

In case anyone cares. (nerds or people who want free TV or whomever)

I will most likely be tinkering with it trying to get all the games. Apparently the software has been out for a little over a month and you can get all the channels on some Dish Network satellites.

search for "fta dss testing" for more information. There is a good forum with up-to-date information and software related to "dss testing"

I am going to have a hell of a time setting this thing up I can tell already but should be interesting. I think the hardest part will be getting the dish pointed at the satellite. Then comes organizing 1,000 channels so it doesn't take me an hour to find each football game.

Best way to set up dish is get a real D rec and find with it and a sat finder..Then get a premade channel list or use a list editor on your computer.Gl

Yes pwherr I have heard that the real dish receivers are much more user friendly for satellite finding. I will probobly do it the hard way because I do not want to buy a dish receiver and I will probobly end up buying a generic 33" dish. Once I get all the bugs worked out I will buy another FTA and a switch so everyone in the house can enjoy the TV. We connot afford this $200+ cable bill anymore.
