Gambling is in your blood

First off gambling is harder to stop than drinking and drugs its a very powerful disease that so many people cant ever stop. My family has always been gamblers my grampa lost a caddy in a game of dice one time. iam seeing first hand as a bookie this year what some people go through. I did a kid a favor after getting his 3 grand he owed i cut him off and had a long talk with him and i know soon he will find another out but its sad some off the stories ive seen of late. People will come up with all kinds off bullshit on how this bill was not payed or of late a few guys not giving a shit about friends and borrowing money they cant pay back. There is a reason why sportsbooks and bookies exsist and people really need to set limits and stick with them as of late ive seen so much damage people have done to there lives by gambling. bet with your heads not over them

Good advise. I had been using online books for about 8 years. I recently started using a local, because a buddy at work was using him also and he has a website where amounts get reset every monday. I noticed when i had to front money to a online sportsbook it was so easy to stop when the account hit zero.

I would just put aside some more fun money and use it for entertainment by gambling on games. If i made a profit great, if not i could make a grand last at least a few months.

The local i used started the account balance at 1000 on Mondays. if i lose 500 for the week, the next Monday my account balance is at 1000 again. I realized i was playing more games and making bigger bets. I am done using the local and back to just using online sportsbooks. i don't know it is just me, but when you don't have to pre deposit the money in the account, it is easy to get carried away, because all of us gamblers are confident that we can figure out the books and win. We all know it doesnt work out like that.

Gambling makes me enjoy a game more. It is even better when the money you lose is money you CAN lose and will not have a major effect on your life. that way if you win, it is money one could use for a vacation or on items around the house.
