Gas Prices ? Anybody else ticked off ?

I am getting a little ticked off with the price of gasoline here in Ontario. A few months ago gas was at 68 cents a litre. Each week since like around february I have noticed it climbing up a few cents. And now it sits at 92 cents ?

Last summer when the cost was around a $150 a barrel, it was $1.25 - $1.35 a litre.

But now, it sits at $58.00 a barrel and we are approaching the $1.00 a litre mark ?

So now we see an almost 60% drop per barrel from last summer, but the price per litre has only dropped roughly 35%

What the hell is going on here ?

i love how there's always a different excuse when gas goes up, and there's only one way for it to go down, besides having a depression.

Real simple explanation: It is summer time. People travel more during summer time. You have the demand, so just increase the price. People will complain, but still in the end still travel.

If I remember my calculations correctly 3.8 litres is equivalent to 1 gallon. Therefore .92 x 3.8 litres equals 3.50/gallon and based on a 80cent cdn dollar to american that would equate to roughly $4.40/gallon.

Using an exchange rate of $C1 = $US 0.868

$C 0.92/litre = $US 3.02/gallon
