Going to my 1st NBA game

Going to my 1st NBA hoops gm on the 28th. Wife just got me tix to the Clev/Phoenix game along with dinner to Morton's. Nice gift Im excited! Only major sport i have not been too in person.

I will be in Cleveland on Saturday. Anyone who lives there, let me know what there is to do. We are staying at the Radison, across from the Arena i guess.

Have fun, that should be a doozy..

ryhenry, you're in for a treat. Dan Gilbert (owner of Cavs and arena) pumped a bunch of cash into the arena to improve the in-game experience. Halftime entertainment, timeouts, pregame lineups, seating, scoreboard - it is all topnotch and on par with the best you will see from any NBA team. Tickets have gotten a bit pricey to come by in Cleveland but the show you get to "witness" really does make for a great night of entertainment. A matchup with the Suns will ensure that the oncourt action is quick and exciting too!

Good choice for dinner and that Radison near the arena is supposed to be nice (though I've never personally seen more than the lobby). Let me know when you're getting in and I can offer some suggestions for what to do before and/or after dinner and the game.

Great. We will be arriving Saturday, prolly around 1PM. We have reservations at Morton's at 7PM. Game is on Sunday at 1PM. We will be leaving Sunday evening. So, basically have time before the dinner on Saturday and all night Saturday. Let me know what you recommend. Really appreciate it.

I'll have to think a little bit about what would be worthwhile on a Saturday afternoon.

The Warehouse District (10 minute walk or 2 minute drive from where you're staying) provides the best mix of bars and clubs the city has to offer all on 1 street. That's a great option for a Saturday night, but depends on what you really want to do that night.

Bump this thread up again as next weekend gets closer and I'll try and have some more specific suggestions.
