Going To Paris Mid March Any Food Spots To Reccomend?

Its the tail end of a ski trip(no sking in France) that starts with 8 days in Davos, Switzerland(the skiing part). We then head to Paris for 4 days!!Have gone to Europe before and know there is a big difference between the "tourist eats" and the local eats! Anyone have some ideas that have been there and know some offbeat places to eat? Only bad thing leaving March 11 right at the start of the TOURNEY but what you going to do!! Any price range is acceptable its vacation tme!! Thanks for any tips!!

Paris isn't known for foods, man....not very good unless you want Croissants and crap.
if you want great foods, go to Switzerland and get Fondu and Rocclette. Belgium has great walffles and holland (Amsterdam) has the Oldest restaurant in the world (Said to be over 750 years old, King henry ate there and many famous people etched their name in chairs and walls) called the in D'Vijff Vlieghen (The five flies!)..

All in all, you're kinda screwed if you're lookin for good Parisian food. Most of the good food there is Foreign (Like Mickey D's--they're everywhere there LOL).

Good luck man....hit up Geneva while you're over there, if you can!!!

Ok... this place is on the Eiffle Tower tour area... it's called 'Les Ministeres'... it's got a terrace to the town and serves regional wine and they have this roast beef and cheese with gravy sandwich that's amazing... It's on '30 rue de bac'
I don't recall what the price was but I know it was affordable and they served a 2 course meal...

Also another place is called La Terrasse... this place is on 'place de l'Ecole Militaire' it's around the corner from the shopping district... , same thing here 2 course meal and very affordable... it's got this deli atmosphere to it but when you sit outside it's like the movies... and in fact when I was there I saw alot of celebrities walking the boulevard... this place has the best coffee too...

Both places will allow casual dress... France can be expensive so check the menus they keep at the door first cause even if the place looks like a dive outside all the restaurants have an old world appeal inside...

Thanks some good ideas so far thanks Tina! Done the Swiss food thing BP spent two weeks in Interlakken a few years back! It was good especially the cheeses(food better in Rome though IMO) !!! Meals included in trip while in Davos at our hotel! Tina ever hear of CATHERINES? Heard it was nice and overlooked Paris? Staying in Paris at the Hotel Terminus Nord. Appreciate all recommendations!

I stayed at Hotel Duquesne Eiffel and Hotel Sezz...
I think Catherines is a Southern France style restaurant Provence area has all the female named restaurants... I haven't been there no... I think it's called Chez Catherines tho... i could be wrong... I do recommend taking walks at night along Provence... I think the Bachelor show had some scenes in the Provence area when they filmed it...

or you may be talking about Place Sainte-Catherine... I've got a little book from that restaurant... it was a church before and they turned it into a restaurant...
it's on the same street name as the restaurant name... it's the longest street in France but that is Bordeaux region...
