Going to Sporting Events

Do you think the big HD projection TV's and how the networks broadcast a game make it a better option to watch a game? Or would you rather be at the stadium maybe not in the best seats but just to be at the game?

Me personally, I have been blessed with sitting court side, ice level, and 50 yard line 4 rows up and even at a suite at the Death Star(New Cowboys Stadium) many times in my life. And I must say that I really enjoy watching the game more at my house or at a bar with sound then actually going to a game? I love that I can watch instant replay, and just like the way TV is.

Where would you rather be? At the game or at home watching the game?

I love both.. no denying the comfort level of a house with AC, a big screen and a fridge full of beer.

But the experience of going to a game has always been a joy to me.

I think I'd rather go to the games if I had the time/resources to go as often as they come on TV. But not being able to do that, sitting at home in a leather recliner watching the game(s) in HD on a 50' LCD isn't so bad of an alternative

and the beer is WAY cheaper

I agree on the tailgating part. That is always what I look forward to the most. I get kind of sad when walking into the stadium knowing that my full cooler or beer is going unattended during the whole game.

gotta go to a couple games, just to get the atmosphere, get in the spirt then watch the rest on TV also great. dont need to watch um all from ur couch.

New Consol arena TV, is to be the best indoor TV in world..........

Love the cold weather snow games,,,,,,,,,,,cant beat it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cant go to all the games because we usually end up blacking out the game when we start in the Lots at 7am..............only remembering a few big plays and who won.......But its a blast, gotta do it, and the titty bar rocks....

would rather watch on TV - esecially with the new big screens at staidums (Cowboys) wound up watching the TV a lot anyway...

LOVE the tailgating, but there HAS to be a nice TV there... 42" would do... love the replays and scrolling scores and other people having TV's with other games on...

Being there with the crowd makes it exciting but with all of the beer and food runs I probably only watch about 30% of the game.

When I lived in the Bay Area I use to enjoy going to a ball game or football game, but I would much rather watch a game at home or a sports bar.

As far as learning... you cant beat watching the game at home IMO

The only events I find myself wishing I was at are march madness/certain bowl games/SEC night games/SNF/MNF(good matchups with a lot on the line ) and of course the SB, because the atmosphere at those events would be worth the $

For football games, I'd rather be at home. I usually have decent seats, but its either hot as hell or freezing cold. For baseball I'd rather be at the game, the experience is so much better. Same for basketball, I'd rather be at the game. TV is no substitute for the speed and action of an NBA or college hoops game.
