Golfing noobie help

I'm gonna start looking into playing golf next month due to job change and more free time. Any of you guys have advice on what are the best clubs to start out with and the price range? Thanks.

if you are just starting out brands i would suggest

Callaway
Nike

Avoid:
Mizuno
Titliest

I say avoid those because those brands are aimed for the lower handicappers. But Callaways are usually the best set to start with as a begineer. Very easy to hit, forgiving as well.

With regards to price range, i'm not so sure about US dollars but i think you can get a decent set of golf clubs for less than 1000 USD. again not familiar with how the pricing works down there.

I would Callaway's or Taylor mades. Differnet price ranges-
Personally I play Titleist clubs.
See if you can get oversized irons as they are quite a bit more forgiving for the just starting-out golfers.
Where are locateed Mr Who. HAve a brother in law of mine that sells off his promotional set of clubs every year.
He is sponsored by Taylor Made.

definatley true here. Also try some tommy armour 845's good set for beginners and not really expensive. I believe you can get a whole set for like 200 dollars. make sure you like the sport before you buy the expensive kind.

Who, where in the states do you live?

Because i suggest going to Golf Galaxy or Dicks Sporting Goods. Those are the only two stores i know in the states that carries a good ton of golf. I also suggest in future reference to buy equipment online on EBay. Once u are comfortable with the clubs, you will soon realize how much of a rip off the sets are in stores.

yep. go check them out and see what you like. just get a set for beginners. I started with the 845's and had them for like 4 years. They did the job. You might be able to find some online used. the problem is you never know what you are getting that way.

yeah pretty inexpensive. How old are u? reason I ask this is because you should get a (punchline) stiff shaft and stay away from graphite.
