Thanks guys. We need all the prayers we can get. It seems like Katrina was just yesterday, but I guess we were lucky to get a 3 year break. We'll soon see exactly what they were able to accomplish in those 3 years.

As I type this message, evacuated from my home and scared as hell, but using sports to keep my mind off of everything going on, I think about how freaking brutal this whole thing was 3 years ago, and can't imagine the thought of going through it agaiin. I just hope the city I was born and raised in can make it through this again. Although I'm not very optimistic.

All i ask all of you is to be sensitive about this, as most of you will. If you see some things on the TV over the next couple of days that resemble Katrina in the slightest bit, try and keep in mind what we're all going through before you throw out the political, racial or other uninformed comments that I read on here after Katrina. If this turns out the way most of us think it will, we'll need all of the support we can get.

I'm hearing some news saying it's hitting more of the western part of LA? I have some good friends who retreated new orleans to Houston, how hard will Gustav hit houston does anyone know?

Who knows what the hell that thing is gonna do when it hits land.. might hug the shoreline and hit more towards houston.
