Google Map Street View

Just found out about this feature on Google Maps a couple of months ago and it has come in handy a few times.

You can go down on street level on the map to see how things look.

You can show someone who is unfamiliar with a place exactly where to go - or check out a place yourself before you go.

Check out your own house - you may be surprised to see yourself, or someone you know in the neighborhood around or out for a walk.

On the main Google page near the top you click on Maps, which is 3 to the right of Web.

Type in an address and pick up the little orange guy in the top left of the map and put him over the map - you'll see the streets turn blue if the Google truck has been by to do a street level photo session in the area.

Once you're down there you can mouse around and zoom in with a few clicks... cool stuff.
