Got laid off today....

....kinda ****in sucks. Left a job about a year ago to take a job with a company i didnt quite trust, but for a higher salary...now today i get laid off. Hey, at least I got more time to be on CM.

thanks man....i figure everything happens for a reason, and i'm financially stable to survive comfortably for an extended period of time, so I know i'll be okay. Honestly, it's just the boredom that will eventually get to me.

BTW, i know i haven't been on here in a minute, but Sox look ridiculously nasty....hope you're enjoying the series

that is the one thing I always make sure I have.....enough financial security to go alteast 6-12 months if something were to happen to my wife or I. use this time to find the right job for you or maybe go in a different direction! BOL to you in your search and hope you find something better than the shithole you just came from

thanks man...I'ma Chef and i was brought to this recently aquired hotel by a company i used to work for years back. They wanted me to take both kitchens, clean them up, show direction to the people in the kitchen, and infuse new flavors into the menus. They originally told me that since they were putting $6 million in renovations into the hotel come the fall, that there would be a solid 1-2 months that i'd have no choice to put on a hard hat and earn my money that way. Now they come to me and say all Food and Beverage will be shut down for 6 months, and they just lay me off......totally unexpected, but again, i'll survive. its just a pain in the ass

i quit my job today man if that helps. i officially worked for the devil. a dude called in a sick day cuz his dog was dying and needed to go to the vet. she claimed it unacceptable. what a cunt.

but sorry to ehar ur situation. ure a chef tho, get a reality show haha ;) or dont worry, ull find aother job quick

The difference is that if YOU are personally sick, they don't want you around the office to make other people sick.....so you accomplished your goal.....getting a day off.

You may be emotionally attached to your dog.....but you can't expect others to feel the same about your dog.

Its obvious she didn't feel that way and the guy got canned.
