Through personal experience I have found that in emergency situations some people just react. Long story short, twice in my life I have had to save someone in trouble in the ocean. I am not a lifeguard or a person who is considered a strong swimmer, or even a particularly fit person for that matter, if you know what I mean. Lol! Point is, both times I reacted without thinking of the possible consequences. Can't explain the feeling, its something that just happens.

if you can swim..why not. i saw that happen live once when i was fishing off a bridge..the lady's dog somehow jumped in water...all a sudden she was down to her shorts and bra jumping in..only bad thing was she was drunk. luckily she saved dog and herself.
