Hank Gathers dying and then Bo Kimble and LMU making an incredible run. Best story of my lifetime. I remember the world stopped when Bo shot free throws left-handed

I hate to admit it but I like the Favre story when his father died and he lit up monday night football.

I'm not sure but apparently you just run for an extended period of time. It's supposed to be wild. 2 words -- Lance Armstrong
One of my personal favs. If you know what this guy went through and overcame, its a wonder he can complete the Tour de France let alone dominate it like he does. Miracle on Ice is the best story in US team sports.
