Greyhound Racing

I know greyhound racing is fading fast.

Do any of you guys play the dogs either live or OTB?

I have played the dogs for many years and really enjoy the sport.

Started out playing live at Sodrac Park in North Sioux City, South Dakota. They used to pack them in from all over. There was nothing better on a Saturday night going to Sodrac. Any of you guys ever been there?

My pops used to take me to Kenosha, Wisconsin and we would bet the dogs. Last time I did it was about 4 years ago at a track in Florida. It's fun, but almost impossible to cap a dog race imo....Those ****ers run so fast there is no edge, it's whoever wants to go the fastest in that particular race. Dying sport for sure.

Owned a few racers at one time but got out of it a few years ago because it was just getting too hard to find homes for the dogs after they stopped racing. And I refused to let them be put down so it got expensive taking care of them until I could get homes for them.

Was alot of fun for me because I couldn't afford to keep a stable of horses but had a nice bunch of greyhounds. It was pretty exciting to watch them run. But I could see even back then that the business ws dying. Glad I got out when I did. But miss it sometimes.

I run up to Kenosha, WI dog tracks sometimes. Dollar dogs and Dollar beers if you go on the right night. Can't beat that!

I have been to all the tracks in Colorado as well, pw.

I remember the track in Loveland. There was a huge snowstorm one night and you could not even see the dogs running by the tote board.

This is going the way of horse racing, only quicker.
