Has betting dulled your ability to enjoy a game without betting on it?

Can you sit and watch a sporting event that you haven't bet anymore? I don't bet every TV game, but I don't sit and watch every play of a sporting event in less I have some interest in it. When I was young I could watch a game with 2 teams that I could care less about and still enjoy the hell out of it, but I think betting has dulled this.

What sports are the best to watch when you don't have any betting interest in them? I can watch boxing and still enjoy the hell out of it, and college football to some degree.....but I cannot sit through an NFL game if it has no rooting, fantasy, or betting interest to me.

Does this speak to the me-me-me culture we live, our ever-growing short attention spans due to smartphones and other forms of rapid information sharing, or just a personal issue?

It effects me in some way ofcourse to watch a game i dont have money on. I can definately still enjoy the game or match, but i will eventually look for value for a future bet durring the game. I do enjoy doing that so i wouldnt say it deters me from enjoyment.

Also usually end up getting into UFC and Boxing if I dont bet on the game. I do have a rooting interest as a fan in Clippers, Chargers and Angels so I dont need money on those to enjoy because God knows those teams make it hard lol.

As far as the me me me society we live in, I agree thats what we have, most of the people i know are SO me me me all the time and they are not gamblers for the most part.
I think the me me me thing comes from everyone thinking they are going to get fuked or screwed some how, they end up doing the fukin and screwing first before it happens to them. Honestly the experience I have gambling and the patients and discapline, and discision making ive accuired over the years has helped me to make myself happy in reguards to this society of no attention spans because you learn to take EVERYTHING with a grain of salt"".

Everything in life is a gamble, risk reward. If you arent one of those guys who blames everything on other people then gambling will make you a man. IMO

I agree with this, and am sure this is why everytime a call goes one way or another, every gambler assumes that the fix was out to get them, that they had the game capped perfectly, but only lost because of "a fix", or an anomaly.....to me, this line of thought will not allow anyone to grow as a capper, because they are finding these fluke reasons to blame their losses on, instead of trying to improve on their capping ability...

If you aren't a believer in fixes, good luck making money in the long term. Sniff the probable fixes, and profit!
