Has money ruined sports?

Between lockouts, holdouts, conference realignment, the amount of highlights networks can show being determined by multilayer tv deals, everyone bending to the will of popular leagues, advertisments on every facet of the game, amateur athletes not being able to play because they took money, lineup decisions being made because of contract size, and fans not being able to afford to go see live sports, is it just too much? Are there any purd sports anymore?
