Have you ever felt like you will never win another wager?

I do!

On April 10, I was at Kentuck Downs with a friend and hit a 10 cent Super Trifecta at Keeneland for about $460. After that, I did not hit a single horse and for the last hour I did not have a horse hit the board period.

That was just the start. Since hitting the Super Tri, I have gone 6-14 for -9.02 units in posted MLB plays, 3-4 for -0.50 in posted NHL plays and my 2 MLB Conest teams are terrible!

I need a break!

All gamblers need a break every once in a while. Let's face it, as a gambler, there will be sometimes where you go bust! Take a mental break and come back strong Bosox!

Agree with iggs111. When you hit a bad streak take a break. I`ve done it and will do it again when the time comes.

True that!

When gamblers go on a run of losses, sometimes their emotions get the best of them and they start taking chances and making bets they wouldn't normally make.

Studies have shown that the losses hurt absolutely more than the joys of winning. So losing a string of bets can definitely throw you off kilter.

A break can help bring about more rational thought processes and ultimately help you back on track. It can also put things in perspective too. Such is life...

Play a lot of online poker, and this is the biggest thing I am working on in my game. When it starts running bad and people are catching one or two outers on me, I used to have a tendency to increase the $ value of the tournaments/tables I would play.

Now for the most part I will back it down to small amounts or take a break entirely for a few days, lot better on my bankroll!!

it is hard to believe sometimes that there were actually 2 equally available sides when you are on a downswing, even sadder sometimes when you've been betting dogs and losing on all of them, that really hurts

My worst streak ever 7-41 or something very close to that. It was however preceded by a decent and long enough winning run.

right at the moment I am on one of my streaks- downward, so yes it seems like forever since I had a winning day- when in fact it was only a couple days ago.

In one right now. 1 & 7 on my last 8 picks in MLB. Think I`ll take my advice and others and chill for a bit.

I'll tell you, I know what a bad streak feels like, I have just got over one. It lasted about half a year, I couldn't hit anything! I started to question my mental health at times and wondered if the sunlight would ever appear again. I seemed doomed! Well, I took a long break from betting on sports and returned recently with a new attitude. I am hitting at a 58-60 % clip over the past while and feeling pretty good about my future in the world of sports betting.
