Just curious how many of you have.

Not sure if you mean the actual last seconds - I have not, but I did watch my best friend's mom slowly die in ICU for a year... I wasn't there every day, but if I had to guess... about 230-240 days... he actually got married in her ICU room (5:30 am) before the ceremony at the church. That was tough.

When I was about 5 I watched my grandmother.

As horrible as it was, I was glad I was there though. I really didnt know what was going on, but about 2 years later when my grandfather died no one was there with him and I can't remember the last time I saw him or thing I said to him

Yes watched my brother in law be taken off of life support a couple of months ago. That's kinda strange because they could keep him alive for another month or so but when he was never going to get better and has been unconscious for over a month so why prolong the suffering?

Was still weird to know he was going to die soon after he was removed from support.

Brother, Mother-in-law, Aunt

Nothing hurts worse than watching your parents lose a child.

I have helped many people die. I used to bother me a lot but after I lost my brother at the age of 20 it all came easy after that. So many people die all alone in the world. No reason why some of us can't help in this trying time. I am walking thru this at this time with a dear friend who has cancer. It comes easy while they are alive but when they die I crash. I watched a lot of people die while my brother was dieing. Most of them died all alone. Nothing feels better then to help a friend who is in need. I ask all of you to reach out and help the dieing. Believe it or not they will pass faster if they are at peace or feel love around them. Its not for everyone but no one should die alone.
