Have you heard about

Heard on tonight's news that California will ban dark colored cars by 2012. No black, no red, no blue.. you get it...Why because it will save on emissions.

Have you heard that Washington state has a ban on dishwashing detergents? They setup road blocks because people are sneaking in dishwashing detergents from out of state... hum?

Oh! Almost forgot the gitmo prisoners will be set for life with their pension fund. Heard it on the news....

Anyone hear other weird news?

any thoughts about it? I personally think it's pretty disgusting. Yes, it may cut down on AIDS and what not, but it's basically promoting heroin use.

How much do you think it costs the state when they end up with a disease and need doctors, medicine, hospitals, etc.?

I saw a study on this last year and the numbers that it saves the government by having this type of program is alot cheaper than not having it and dealing with the health costs that become associated with it. I will try to find the study and post it later.

It gets better...

According to Bloomberg News, Charlotte-based Bank of America "plans to increase some investment bankers' salaries by as much as 70 percent following the takeover of Merrill Lynch & Co., people familiar with the proposal said." This is the same bank that got $45 billion in support from the federal government.

Pay for managing directors would climb to about $300,000 from $180,000 while less senior directors would increase to $250,000 from $150,000, and vice presidents would get $200,000, up from about $125,000, according to Bloomberg.
