A. You have to have a HDTV.

B. You have to have a HD receiver and a subscribiton to the HD channels.

c. Only certain programs on ESPN are available in HD and they must be watched on ESPNHD.

You can get broadcast HDTV for free. I think all HDTVs these days come with the ATSC tuner (read as HDTV receiver) built in.

Thats great for ABC, CBS etc.... but you can't get cable HD (i.e. ESPN)... in addition, if you have an older HD-ready television, you can buy an HD ATSC satellite (stays inside... can be set up on the side of your TV) to get the over the air HD broadcasts.

Go HD DVR with Dishnet.A shit load of hd channels (ESPN,ESPN2,NFL net, ect). Then for locals you just plug your OTA anntenna into it and all your local HD's are intergrated in to it.Direct TV has them too just not as many hd channels but they have sunday ticket in HD.
